Funding Sources : My postdoc project was awarded with the prestigious fellowship PEW Latin American Fellow, which is granted to only 10 scientists from Latin America to conduct postdoctoral research in the United States. In addition to the funds allocated for salary, the PEW Biomedical program provided me additional funding (70,000 dollars) to purchase equipment and supplies for return to Latin America and establish my independent lab.
